Hi girls! If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen my post about my closet sale. Basically, I am cleaning out my closet and will be parting ways with anything that I haven't worn in the past year. Normally, I just give away a lot of items that I don't wear anymore to my friends, or I bring them back home to WA and my mom gives them to her friends' daughters who are still in high school (lucky girls!). This time, because I have such a large quantity (which I paid a lot of money for) I've decided to sell everything and donate the proceeds to charity. I am very aware of how fortunate I am to be living this lifestyle and that I have the means to be able to buy most of these things. While my husband, Adam, is constantly donating to various charities, I don't do nearly enough. The way that I look at it is like this: I could either sell this stuff, take the profits and buy a couple nice pairs of shoes, or I could take the money and actually make a difference. Making a difference always feels so much better than any pair of shoes! :)
If you're looking for some high end goodies at affordable prices, be sure to check out my ebay page (info below). Here's a few things that I will be listing:
Designer denim from brands like Rag & Bone, J. Brand, and Hudson. (sizes range from 25-27)
Close to 20 dresses from casual to cocktail.
Uggs, wedges, booties, stilettos, and flats. (15 pairs in total, sizes 7.5 & 8)
Lots of cute tops & sweaters. (sizes xs-m)
Brands such as Mason, Tory Burch, J. Crew, Herve Leger, Zara, Parker, Torn by Ronny Kobo + more.
Many items with tags still attached, and most were only wore once or twice.
Info:
Closet sale will start today at 11am & run for approx. 1 week with items being posted every day.
100% of proceeds will be donated to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Recently found your blog, you are doing a wonderful job with it! I started my blog this year as well shortly after my daughter was born. We have a lot of the same Pinterest pins I see :)
As a former fashion editor and stylist, I love fashion and beauty. My husband and I want 5-6 children so I'm all about saving money these days as college funds are like a quarter of a million dollars per kid, it's crazy. Can't wait to check your sale out!
Hey girl! Thanks for the sweet comments! This first year of my blog has been such a love/hate relationship for me! Love it because its great to have a place to document all my random thoughts & recipes. Hate it because sometimes I feel like no one is reading lol! Hope you find something that you like on my closet sale. I would love to raise enough money to be able to make a small difference in a child's life :) xx
I totally get that feeling about wondering if anyone is even reading. It takes 2-3 years to build a decent following. You just have to stick with it and cross market with as many other social networking sites as possible. It's a lot of work but it does pay off eventually. I have a full time job and an infant so blogging seems like extra work for me, but it's almost therapeutic sometimes and I love hearing from my followers.
Stick with it, I'm reading ;)
Use google analytics if you haven't already it shows you how many visits you're getting on a daily basis and where your traffic is coming from along with how long your followers are staying on each page. Its free!
I commend you for having a full time job + mommy duty + the blog! I have zero job, and zero kiddos and still feel like I don't have enough time in the day to put in the hours on my blog! You rock! xx
