Purchases For Baby Girl

I hope you all had a great weekend!  We had a pretty low key weekend over here; worked around the house, ran errands, went to our first hypnobirthing class, took the pups on a long walk around one of our favorite jogging trails, and had the absolute laziest Sunday on record.  Seriously, Adam & I were total bums yesterday, migrating back and forth from the couch to the bed all day.  He was completely engrossed in a book, while I was the online shopping queen ordering all things baby related.  I've been on an online ordering rampage lately {shopping for babies is so much more fun than shopping for myself I've decided!}, and thought I'd share a few of the items that I've purchased for baby girl.

Full deets are below, including links to a few of my favorite new Etsy shops that I've recently discovered :)

Shop These Items:

The cuuuutest little bow pleated dress and kitty cat sweater from Jacadi.  They're definitely on the pricier side for baby clothing, but are having a great summer sale right now which definitely makes things easier on the wallet. {Dress found here / Gray sweater here} //  I absolutely love this Etsy shop, and have purchased a few of their headbands including {this white one} //  A super soft little lamb that doubles as a rattle {available here} //  These simple BPA free pacifiers had great reviews on every website that I could find them on.  Worth a shot! {here} //  The Sleep Sheep is another product that I had to try out.  Amaaazing reviews everywhere you read for helping soothe your little to sleep! {found here} //  This diaper pail is supposed to be the holy grail of all pails!  It is made of solid steel, looks chic in my nursery, and doesn't require special bags! {available here, also in multiple other colors here} //  The softest baby blanket which I may or may not have purchased in 2 colors ;) {found here} //  Handmade baby shoes that are all made to order {here} //  An adorable fuzzy rabbit rattle {here} //  A personalized handmade wooden teether toy shaped like a bunny.  I love this company as they plant one tree for every product sold! {found here}

There's lots more that I've purchased but I'm trying not to go too baby crazy on the blog.  If any mamas out there have any recommendations, I'd love to hear what your baby loved!  xx

St. Barths Vacation Diary

Hi chicas!  Sorry for the sporadic posting schedule lately.  I've been extremely preoccupied with all the projects we have going on around the house, and the blog has kind of taken a back seat.  #Bloggerfail.  I'm sure things will be back to normal in the next couple of weeks, but until then I'm like a full throttle mad woman over here.  Must complete project.  Must complete project.  Must complete project. ;)  Please tell me I'm not the only one who gets like this....

Anyhoo, today I thought I'd finally get around to posting a few of our babymoon pictures.  We spent 6 nights in paradise {St. Barths} and did a whole lot of nothing while we were there.  It was probably one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever taken.  We got massages, layed on the beach, did a little snorkeling, went to lunches, took long walks on the beach {oh so romantico lol}, napped, went to dinners, talked about the baby nonstop, napped some more.....you get the idea.  It was seriously so peaceful and relaxing.  Exactly what a babymoon should be like!

Below are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip, with details to what I wore while we were there {basically a bikini the whole time!}, and where we stayed.  Hope you enjoy! xx

That water!  We flew around 3 hours from Miami to St. Maarten and then took a small commuter plane for the 10 minute journey from St. Maarten to St. Barths.  Funny story: When I was boarding the teeny little commuter plane an airline attendant stopped me and informed me that I needed to fill out a waiver because I was pregnant.  I played totally dumb and said "Ummmm I'm not pregnant".  The look on his face was priceless!  Of course I immediately told him that I was just joking and we all had a good laugh, but it was pretty hilarious!

Checking in at our chic hotel, Cheval Blanc.

Adam surprised me and upgraded us to a beach front suite for our stay.  It was so beautiful, and I loved the French Provence style of decor; think white linen everything, distressed whitewashed woods, and shabby chic accents.

We also had a private infinity pool on our balcony, which is where we spent the majority of our time.

But first, let me take a bumpie ;)  Wearing a sarong from Ondademar that's sadly sold out everywhere.  Last seen here.

Our hotel was located on beautiful Flamands Bay which was really quiet and low key, but also  extremely centralized.  It was a quick 10 minute drive to get to the hot spots like Eden Rock & Nikki Beach, and about a 15 minute drive to do some shopping in Gustavia.

Cheval Blanc also had beautiful garden bungalows where these guys roamed around freely!

This is what we did basically all day!  Adam in the shade reading a book, me sunning it up {not pictured: my word search book that I always travel with.  It's a vacay obsession of mine!}

Headed out to dinner on our first night.  Dress / Clutch / Sandals

Dinner at Bonito was amazing.  Highly recommend!

The entrance to the hotels pool.

Ice cream in Gustavia after a bit of shopping.  I'm wearing Essie 'Cajun Shrimp' on my nails {it's a great summer color and is perfect with a tan!}.

Lunchin' at Eden Rock.  Clutch / Sunglasses {my new fave!}

Ok, so I debated whether I should upload this picture or not since my belly looks huuuuuuuge in this pic {I swear it's not this big, I think it's a combo of all the water I drank to stay hydrated and the angle lol!}, but I love this comfy maxi dress and have to share!  Dress / Hat / Necklace {on sale!}

Keeping it clean with egg whites, oatmeal, and an iced coffee at breakfast.

Wind swept.

This bathtub was to die for!

We went snorkeling on this particular day and had so much fun!  Wearing: Cover up / Hat {linked above} / Sunglasses / Beach tote

I absolutely love this picture and want to have it framed!  Wearing: Bikini / Sunglasses

This one also deserves a frame :)

I told you guys in a previous post how much I loved this dress.  It's so effortless, and the perfect maternity maxi for summer!  Get it here.

Lunch on the sand {oh hi Adam!}.

Not a bad view ;)

Sorry for all the bump pics, but I'm obsessed!

Last day in paradise wearing: Dress / Sandals / Hat & Necklace {linked above}

Sad to say goodbye to this view, but it's always so nice to go home to our little muffins {who give us the best hello kisses when we walk through the door!}.

Get Your Quench On

Morning dolls!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I am in serious project house mode over here, and was literally working around the house non stop last week and over the weekend.  I'm not really sure what nesting is, but I think maybe I've come down with a case of it.  The nursery is starting to come together, and I can't wait to share pictures of it with you guys later.  We also moved around our guest bedroom, office, and master bedroom {all to accommodate the nursery} so it was a week full of furniture moving, ordering new furniture, endless UPS deliveries, and swollen feet from being on the go all day long.

At the end of every evening, when I kick my feet up and finally get a chance to slow down, all I can think about is how I wishhhhhh I could have a nice, refreshing cocktail - especially since it is so dang hot + humid outside lately.

If you do one thing this week, please pick from this list of seriously refreshing summer cocktails below and have one for me!  In the meantime, I'll just be sitting over here sipping on Pellegrino, and fruit infused water   ;)

Have a great week! xx

Favorite Outfits In St. Barths

We're back from our ahhhhhhhmazing babymoon in St. Barths.  It was such a relaxing escape, and I truly did not want to leave.  I'll post more detailed vacay pics later on this week, but first I wanted to share with you guys a few of my favorite outfits that I wore while we were there.

Lately, you may have noticed that I've been forcing enlisting the help of my husband to take some outfit pictures of me.  I asked you guys back in this post if you liked seeing more fashion based posts like this, and the majority response that I received was pretty positive.  While I'm unclear on so many areas concerning the direction my blog will take after I have my baby {such as whether or not I'll choose to share her on here, and how much time I'll want to devote to Typical Domestic Babe},  I promise that this will never turn into a "fashion blog".  I'll continue to keep posting my recipes, home decor, and general lifestyle posts, because that's what I'm most passionate about!

For now, however, these fashion posts kind of serve as a fun way to document my pregnancy, and I get some pretty pictures out of the deal :)  Win/win in my book!

Now, onto the outfits.....

^^  Wearing:  Asos dress {non maternity I just sized up 1 size to accommodate my belly, get it here } //  Halogen wedges {here} //  Star Mela clutch {found here}

Why I loved this outfit:  This dress was my absolute favorite that I wore while we were on holiday.  It really is such a basic black dress, but the off the shoulder sleeves, and flirty hemline really spice it up!  Plus, it's super lightweight, making it the perfect dress for hot summer nights.  I love how the neon pink ethnic clutch pulls this whole outfit together.

^^  Wearing:  Belabumbum nursing cami & pajama bottom c/o {here} & Belabumbum robe c/o {here} //  Sleep Mask {old}

Why I loved this outfit:  Pj's are totally an outfit, right?  ;)  When Belabumbum approached me to do a collaboration, I had never heard of them before so naturally a little research was in order {I am really selective about who I choose to feature on my blog, and only accept items that I would purchase myself and whole heartedly recommend to my friends}.  I found that their products are sold in Nordstroms, they have GREAT online reviews, and I just loved what they were all about in general! After they sent me these pj's + robe, I honest to goodness wanted to live in them 24/7.  They are made from the absolute softest pima cotton, and all of their pajamas are made with nursing in mind {it's all about the easy access ladies!}.  They are perfect to wear in the hospital after you've delivered, when you want to look cute for visitors but without looking overdone, and also perfect for just lounging around the house!  I'm planning on purchasing another set like this cute heart print, or this fun pink number!

^^  Wearing:  Wendy Bellissimo maternity maxi dress {currently 25% off here} //  Steve Madden sandals {here} //  Flora Bella raffia clutch {here} //  Louis Vuitton sunglasses {available here}

Why I loved this outfit:  First off, let me say that this dress looked wayyyyyy better on in person than it photographed.  I felt so beautiful in this dress as it really emphasized my baby bump, but without being too clingy....even Adam kept complimenting me all night how gorgeous I was in this dress!  Ladies, you know when your guy keeps bringing it up, it's a real winner!  I loved the tie-dye print in creamy navy & teal tones and it really was the perfect effortless maxi to wear while on vacation.  It would also be great for a baby shower or any other occasion where you needed to get a little fancy this summer!

I have such a busy week ahead of me.  Our nursery furniture is being delivered today wooohoooo, and we've been literally rearranging every single room in our house ever since we got back.  Our guest bedroom is now the nursery room, the office is now the guest bedroom, maids quarters {older homes in Miami almost always have small shoebox sized "maids quarters" rooms} is now a small office and I even rearranged our bedroom and ordered new furniture because I was on a roll!  Can't wait to show you guys how everything turns out!  Hope you all have a great week, thanks for reading! xx

Scenes From Around The House

Happy Friday!  Thank you so much to everyone who left such kind comments on yesterdays bumpdate!  Your comments mean so much to me, and you guys sure know how to make this mama to be feel good :)

Today I wanted to share a few images of scenes from around our house; home decor projects {I've gotten on a home decor kick lately!}, snaps of my pups, and life's little moments.

^^  Adam & I have a little standing tradition: every Friday if we don't have plans to go out to dinner, we indulge in a little cheese plate before we light our Shabbat candles.  I love little traditions like these, and hope that we continue them for years to come.

^^  We installed some sheer linen curtains this week {for pure aesthetic reasons, we already have custom pull down shades installed}, and I'm so happy with the texture that they added to my living room!

^^  Cherry season makes me a veryyyyy happy girl :)

^^  I received these glass hurricanes in the mail this week.  I love the natural rope detailing on them, and now just need to figure out where I'm going to put them.

^^  We take nap time very seriously in this household ;)

^^  I love sending thank you cards + snail mail.  These thank you cards are so cute & summery, and are currently on sale!

^^  You guys, I'm so embarrassed to admit this but I forgot that we had this gorgeous Restoration Hardware area rug still rolled up, wrapped in plastic from when we moved to our new home..... in September.  It was hiding under the bed in our guest bedroom, waiting to get cleaned {it was in the living room in our condo when we were potty training Lulu...you get the idea}, and I honest to goodness forgot all about it.  I had it professionally cleaned, and now it lives in front of our bookcase!

^^  Peonies are so trendy now, but they still get me every time!

^^  I picked up this decorative wooden bowl for our entertainment console, and filled it with various shells & scented potpourri that smells amazing!

^^  These little muffins ♡  They're going to be the best big brother & sister to Isla!

Sheepskin rug {2 small rugs placed together to make one large}

I'm taking the week off from Typical Domestic Babe next week since we'll be on vacay, but you can always follow along on insta {@andy_adler} to see what we're up to in St. Barths.

Have a great weekend! xx
