New Casa!

Hi, hi, friends!  Happy first day of July!  It's been a little silent over here lately and thought I'd share whats been going on.  I've been a little overwhelmed recently with a death in my family + family issues.  I'm normally not the type to get super stressed out, but the family drama stuff combined with the death of my Grandma really got to me and gave me a bad case of the blues.  Luckily, a girls weekend was right around the corner, and turned out to be the best medicine to get me out of my funk {gotta love girl time!}.  I only posted a few pictures of our fun Napa Valley getaway on my Instagram, but plan on doing a full post soon!

Also, we are officially packing up shop over here, and are moving to a new casa!  I'm so excited because we've been house hunting forever.  It's officially ours in August, but we'll be doing some renovations + aesthetic upgrades and aren't planning on moving in right away.

It's going to be a bit bittersweet saying goodbye to condo life and all the amenities that come with it.  Not living on the beach will be a bit of an adjustment and I'm sure I'm going to miss our gorgeous ocean views, but we are gaining a great backyard for the pups and can't wait for them to be able to frolic around and finally be real dogs :)

I'm also excited for all the fun projects that will come with this new house!  It's quite a bit bigger than our current condo, so that means lots of new furniture to help fill it up {Adams thrilled lol!}.  The serious question that I have for you girls is what.the.hell. am I supposed to do with this enormous space that will be our living room....

Seriously, I'm so intimidated by this space.  I've been searching high & low on Pinterest trying to get ideas, but I'm just not seeing anything that would seem to fit this area.  I'm thinking a media space for a couch + tv & separate formal seating area but other than that I'm totally stumped and might need to hire an interior decorator to help me out.

Any thoughts/ideas on how to fill this room up?  Help a girl out and leave any ideas in the comment section below.  xx

  3. So sorry to hear about your Grandma. That's never easy to handle. On the upside, congrats on the new house! I can't wait to see what beautiful things you do with it. I am not a decorator (it's bad when even my boyfriend makes fun of my lack of skills) so I have no ideas for your giant living room. Good luck!
